Tradition. Experience. Progress.
We are an Austrian family business with four generations of experience in logistics. However, we are not resting on our laurels, but are constantly striving for progress, especially when it comes to IT.
The most important milestones over the years
In progress: Development of a transportation management system
With Odoo 4 logistics, we are developing a modern, future-proof transport management system (TMS) based on the open source ERP solution "Odoo".
The first e-truck in the fleet
New addition of a 100% electric Volvo e-truck for initial test runs for eco-friendly deliveries.
COVID-19-Krise
Als Teil der kritischen Infrastruktur waren wir auch während der Lockdowns der COVID-19-Krise für unsere Kundinnen und Kunden intensiv im Einsatz. Unser starkes Team hat auch das gemeistert!

Pircher & Pircher company takeover
In 2016, we took over Pircher & Pircher GmbH, a company founded in 1992 with 14 vehicles and 20 employees. Pircher is the specialist for forklift transportation in Austria. The location in Lieboch near Graz and the company name remain the same.
Digital delivery receipt
In 2015, we launched the project to implement a digital solution for our delivery documents. The system consists partly of in-house developments and brings 100% transparency to our customers' flow of goods.
Cooperation with Californian partner company
In 2014, Robert Förster Jr. works for the Californian 4PL company Freight Management Inc. After his return, a cooperation is entered into in which both companies support each other, particularly with regard to logistics reporting. The company Förster Freight Management GmbH is founded to provide IT services both internally and to external customers.
Consolidation of the locations
In 2010, intensive investment is made in the infrastructure at the main site in Groß-Enzersdorf. Concrete areas with high-voltage connections are created and a ramp for cross-docking is installed. This measure enabled the two Groß-Enzersdorf sites to be merged.
Project Förster Medical
In 2009, we open a warehouse in 1230 Vienna for the Austria-wide distribution of dressing materials, including the shipment of goods from the production facilities in Germany to Austria. At the same time, our IT systems are completely converted to enable connections to SAP systems. Our company design is adapted in the same year.
Company takeover Alfred Gamm
The company Alfred Gamm GmbH is taken over in 2005. The company carries out scheduled transports for parcel services between hubs.
Investments in IT
In 2003, telematics systems were implemented in all vehicles and refrigerated units. This enabled more efficient scheduling and better monitoring of cold chains. Investments were also made in an online portal, which was individually tailored to the needs of Förster customers.
Expansion of the frozen food division
In 2003, fine distribution in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland was taken over for the customer Daily Service. Additional space requirements, a transshipment hall and the availability of infrastructure for refrigeration machines necessitate the opening of a second site in Groß-Enzersdorf.
